Dixie Attendance Center located in Hattiesburg, MS is one of 7 safe room domes built in the Hattiesburg area.  Forrest County wanted to keep its population safe from the devastation of tornados especially after the tornadoes that hit in 2014.  The 5,026.55 sq. ft. of floor area can hold approximately 2000 people during a weather event. The community loves the multipurpose use they got for their tax dollars, as well as the energy efficiency and low maintenance associated with domes.
